It all began on the isle of Cuba in 1999! A group of healthcare folks from the Baptist Medical Dental Fellowship (BMDF) were invited to come alongside Cuban Baptist healthcare professionals as they began Companerismo Medico Bautista de Cuba Occidental; the Cuban version of BMDF! Several years later CMBdeCO is more than 800 members strong and is sharing the Gospel through healthcare in Cuba, Venezuela and around the world.  

In rapid succession after the founding of CMBdeCO Baptist healthcare professionals in several other countries began to ask BMDF to come into partnership with them. Poland; Belarus; the Baptist Medical Center of Nalerigu, Ghana; and Venezuela are now all locations of formal international partnerships for BMDF.

BMDF also partners with a number of other organizations in doing healthcare ministry internationally. Joni and Friends, I-TEC, MMR, and the Baptist Medical Center in Asuncion, Paraguay are some examples of these.

Each of these partnerships is quite different from the others. Belarus is, after all, not the same as Ghana! Each partnership is coordinated by a BMDF member and leaders from the partnership country. Please follow the links to learn about each of these BMDF international partnerships.
