BMDF at-a-glance:
Short-Term Healthcare Projects - Each year, BMDF members accept short-term, volunteer healthcare assignments in 50+ countries, including our own. Projects are diverse and include working in rural clinics, teaching in dental and medical schools, and instructing health professionals in medical evangelism.
Continuing Medical Education - BMDF provides funds for Continuing Education courses and educational materials to career healthcare missionaries.
International Partnerships - Formal partnerships exist with Baptist conventions or unions in Cuba, Poland, Belarus, Venezuela, Ghana and Ukraine for the development of healthcare missions in these countries.
U.S. Healthcare Ministry - BMDF provides consulting and encouragement to healthcare ministries in North America. Each week many members care for the poor as they work in charitable Christian clinics. Catalyzing the start-up and development of new ministries is a BMDF priority.
Disaster Relief - We are committed to training and mobilizing BMDF members for response to worldwide disasters.
Hubert Trust Scholarships - These are available to students and medical residents for short-term projects. Applications can be started online and downloaded here.

Career Healthcare Missions - Encouraging healthcare professionals to enlist as career missionaries is a top priority. Supporting them through prayer, personal relationships, and working together on the field are vital BMDF ministries.
Collaboration - We believe cooperating with other organizations in healthcare missions and ministry is essential. BMDF relates to many in the worldwide Baptist community and other groups of Great Commission Christians having a similar sense of God's call. This allows for much more effective and expansive ministry than could be accomplished alone.
